The Diablo Symphony Orchestra is a Central Contra Costa-based community orchestra celebrating its second season under the leadership of Music Director Matilda Hofman. “Concerto for Group and Orchestra” is composed by Deep Purple’s Jon Lord, with lyrics by Ian Gillan. He has gone on to use his guitar mastery and clear voice to encourage all to get involved with the ideals of peace and ecology in his well crafted jazz and world music influenced songs.
