On May 17, team captains will host a garage sale from which all proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Clothes, furniture and household items are just some of the things shoppers can find at the sale. The sale will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. along the 900 block of W. Olive Avenue. Items that are not sold will be donated to the Sunnyvale American Cancer Society Discovery Shop or to Goodwill. So far, the Sunnyvale relay event has eight teams. Organizers are hoping to get more survivors and teams signed up, as well as volunteers.
